Under this bill, employers would receive a transportation credit for specific distribution to their employees. Easing the cost of your commute and putting money back into your pocket.
This sponsored resolution urges the Secretary of State to protect Georgia’s registration rolls and resist the Trump administration’s unlawful encroachment on Georgia voters.

Comment: This was my first piece of legislation. It was a direct response to Senate Resolution 563, urging the Secretary of State to turn over private voter data to the Department of Justice in Washington, despite that being against Georgia law.
My resolution simply re-affirmed that Georgia law does not allow the Secretary of State to give our private voter information to the federal government.
The Senate resolution passed. My resolution died in committee.
This legislation helps clarify the ways that veterans can turn their military experience into college credit, reduce tuition costs, and earn degrees and workforce credentials faster.
Amends the current Official Code of Georgia Annotated in regards to the Department of Public Health and its treatment of federal immigration detainees. This bill calls for a third party monitoring of detention facilities to ensure they are compliant with state and federal regulations. The third party will provide an audit of their findings, and this bill would allow state and local governments to cease any cooperation with federal agencies if violations are found.
This bill would allow families on the state health plan who experience a stillbirth to qualify for parental leave. Gives families the time they need to recover from the physical, mental, and psychological stress caused by this hardship. Taking this protective mental health measure will allow the family to return to the workforce in a more sound and productive state of mind.

Comment: This issue was brought to me by a constituent who had experienced a stillbirth and was initially denied the ability to take leave. They were not given their leave until they got an attorney involved, so this bill would have clarified that stillbirth is a qualified reason for parental leave.
This bill calls for the creation of a public tracking website that alerts Georgians of which public water systems are contaminated. Creates mandatory alerts from the Department of Natural Resources which notifies water utility companies, and their residents, when their water exceeds the safety level set. Allows for more Legislative Oversight through annual reports directly to Georgia’s General Assembly.
